To transfer your domain to us, please first cancel the domain with your current provider so you can switch providers. You must cancel the domain in writing, as your current provider will only approve our request to take over the domain if you do so. With many providers, you can cancel the domain directly in the login area (customer center).

As soon as you receive confirmation from your current provider that the domain has been canceled, you can order the domain from us. Please provide us with the domain name and the auth code that your current provider gave you.

A domain name can be up to 63 characters long. The minimum length varies depending on the top-level domain. If your desired domain name is too short, you will be notified when you check the domain availability.

No special characters are allowed except for the hyphen. Exceptions include some top-level domains that allow umlauts and other special characters. You can find information about these so-called IDNs (Internationalized Domain Names) in our FAQ on IDN domains.

Before registering, please also make sure that your desired domain name is not protected by trademark law and that no third parties hold rights to the domain.

Domain registration takes place in real time, which means that the domain you ordered is registered for you immediately after your contract is activated or after you submit your real-time order!

After registration is complete, it may take approximately 24–48 hours for the domain to be recorded in the name servers of the individual Internet service providers (ISPs) and thus become accessible via the Internet.

To keep our hosting fees low, domains (so-called "included domains") are not included in the hosting packages. You can purchase domains from us as needed from a selection of more than 1,000 TLDs at low rates.

We use renewable energy sources: Nearly 100 percent of our operational processes and services are powered by green electricity. We are mindful of our responsibility and use resources carefully.

The contract term is one month. You can upgrade to a higher-tier plan at any time. You can switch to a lower-tier plan at the end of each term, which means no later than 30 days.

The contract is automatically renewed for the respective term unless notice of termination is given. The notice period is 30 days prior to the end of the respective term. Any prepaid amounts will be refunded in the event of termination.
